I personally have never been here, but my friend's family loves the lobster from here. We were guessing that market price for lobster would probably range anywhere from $30-35/lb. When we asked, the price was $34/lb. Also, the minimum order is 4.5 lbs, so I picked up a 4.5 lb lobster with a side of noodles (I asked them to pack the noodles separately). Upon stepping into the restaurant, we were greeted with happy, friendly, smiling faces. My friend and I were promptly helped. From the time they took our take-out orders until the time our food was handed to us, it was merely just 10 minutes. I had asked for 2 forks so that we could try some lobster in the parking lot before we packed it up. The server offered us paper plates, chopsticks, forks and spoons. We only grabbed 2 forks as we didn't require the rest. My first bite was amazing. I really appreciate that they pack the food in a foil tray and wrapped foil on top. We put our precious lobster noodle cargo into insulated bags for our long venture home. You'd never believe it, but after a full day of driving around LA picking up food before returning home to NorCal, the food was still warm when we finally arrived home about 8 hours later. I was in disbelief as I pulled out the food, still very warm to the touch. I really enjoyed the delicious sauce that they coat the lobster with. As for the noodles, they were pretty tasty as well, but it's not the typical thinner egg noodles that most people would expect. My husband prefers the thinner egg noodles, but I personally loved these thicker noodles. YUMMMM!!!!!!!!! Since we got home after midnight, I wasn't able to deliver lobster to my parents until the following morning. To my surprise, my parents really enjoyed the lobster and said that it was some of the best they've had. Will definitely have to get it for them again in the future. Despite traveling and even having to be reheated the next day, the lobster was juicy and succulent. Only thing I regretted was not getting a double order of the garlic noodles since it tasted so good with the lobster. We had finished the noodles before all the lobster was eaten, but that's nothing a hot steaming bowl of rice won't fix. Definitely will visit again in the future!

Oh this is a fun one! A simple dining room, lined with those classic lobster tanks. The Newport Special Lobster is an awesome dish to behold. The "small" lobster starts at 3 pounds, and the sauce is spectacular sauce. They even coat and sear the inside-the-head bits, including sizable chunks of grainy red roe. I do wish the noodles had been more al dente, especially with the sauce on them. Beef Loc Lac is another signature dish here, and these cubes of tender, juicy steak are a must. Ong Choi makes a nice vegetable, an essential accompaniment for their heavy, banquet-style mains. It's not a fancy restaurant, and the food is old-school good. I would never say no to a lobster here.

What a treat! We came here for a friend's birthday party last night and had a feast! Couple of things to mention before gushing about their food: 1. Come with a group of friends. The larger the party, the better! Why? You can try more dishes, which are mostly best with large groups. 2. Make reservations. They are a busy (and popular) place. 3. Come HUNGRY :) Now, to the food. Wow! Everything was so good. From their lobsters, to crabs, to tofu, to vegetables and noodles. I thoroughly enjoyed each dish. All their lobster & crab dishes are a must try. Also, their Seabass is delicious! As mentioned, come with a group. It will make the experience a lot more pleasant. Cant wait to come back!

Wanted to get seafood for dinner, we came here. The restaurant was busy with activity and we were able to be quickly seated. Ordered the French style beef, seafood crispy noodles, and fish with basil sauce. Brought out the food quickly. All items were delicious and plentiful. Definitely would come back.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 The food here is delicious and best shared family style. I want to say this is a Vietnamese/Chinese fusion but I may be wrong. The pork dish I had was so crispy and flavorful. The salted fish fried rice was very unique and had bits of salty fish sprinkled in the rice. The lobsters were enormous and very flavorful. Our table ordered a bunch of dishes for a graduation party and honestly all of the dishes were good. I will say the food is pretty heavy and heavy on the MSG but hey, I guess that's what makes it good. Service is okay, when it gets busy the servers are hardly around but I get it because there are huge parties and tons of people here. It's a big restaurant. Ambiance reminds me of classic Asian family restaurants where everyone gathers around a big white table and there's a million of these tables. It has that typical Asian decor and plates. If you know you know. I would come here with big parties because the dishes are huge and you'd wanna try multiple. Overall, great place to eat with big parties. Any dish is decent enough and will satisfy you.

When it comes to Chinese/Vietnamese seafood restaurants, there's no shortage in the OC. That being said, my wife informed me that this place has good lobster with garlic noodles. Even with that, I came in with no expectations. We ordered the house lobster with garlic noodles as well as the honey walnut shrimp. I must say that the lobster with garlic noodles was delicious. The lobster and garlic noodles gave an amazing combination that was very savory and delicious. The honey walnut shrimp was also pretty good. Definitely both of those meals could together feed a whole family since the lobster could feed at least 4 people if not more. Service was great as the workers were attentive and friendly. There was so much food, that we took a lot home and ate for a few more meals. Not a bad spot to come if you're craving Chinese style seafood.

My family loves this place and loves bringing our family and guests here to enjoy their house special; lobster. We usually come here to bring guests or celebrations and they offer a variety of different dishes to share with the whole family and it's even enough to bring home too! Service is fairly quick to be seated and once you order, food comes out in a timely manner! Love that the bigger tables offer the lazy susan to put all the food and you can spin to get other food! Ambiance is poppin' family friendly and even has seafood in the back you can see!, there is plenty of parking too.

If you're looking for an authentic Cantonese seafood restaurant - come here! We had the house special lobster, salted prawns, mussels, clams, fish soup, beef chow fun, calamari, fried rice, Chinese broccoli, intestines, fried pork chops... and they were all good!! This fed 12 people and the service was great! Typical dim sum restaurant decor so nothing to rave about but the food was on point!

4.5/5 stars We came for dinner on a Saturday around 8pm, and there was no wait. I called in advance to see how long the wait would be, and they said they would get a table ready. How nice! The parking lot is small, but we had no problem finding a spot. Wow I must say I'm impressed! This place is completely worth the hype. We got the Newport Special lobster ($35/pound), mussels, and Chinese broccoli. The lobster was phenomenal! It was insanely tender, and there were large lobster pieces. The sauce wasn't as good as other places, but it was still yummy. The mussels were pretty good, but not as fresh/tender. The Chinese broccoli had a little too much oyster sauce. Of note, they give you rice right when you sit down ($1 per person), so if you don't want rice, too bad lolol. At the end of the meal, they give you sliced oranges. I have to say this place probably provides one of best services I've ever experienced at an Asian restaurant! The staff was so nice and very quick. They give you plates for the shells, and they clear out the plates very quickly. They refilled the water quickly, and they also boxed our leftovers for us. The check came at the end of the meal at lightening speed.
